January 9th and 23rd, February 6th and 20th, March 6th and 20th in live discussion via Zoom or subsequently via recorded link

A series of six 45 minute Discover Classes covering a range of repertoire and genres. We’re celebrating Philip Glass’s 90th birthday with his Piano Etude no 2, and marking 200 years since Beethoven’s death with his Pathetique Sonata. We’ve also got Mozart’s Wind Serenande “Gran partita,” as well as some Respighi, Mascagni and Marianna Martines. It’s quite a broad sweep of music!

No previous knowledge is needed. I will guide you through each piece including its historical context and helpful things to listen out for. Join either of the live sessions for a chance to join the discussion or select video catch-up if you want to watch afterwards in your own time.
