A 90 minute Explore Class, introducing Wagner’s last opera with a particular focus on the prelude. This enormous work is an absorbing mixture of spiritual searching, mythology and philosophy.Tonight’s class is intended as a stepping-off point, an introduction to the way Wagner constructed his music, and the entire world of thought and emotion that he aimed to encompass in a single work. All participants will receive a PDF copy of the score.
