A 90 minute Explore Class introducing the early masterpiece of Schoenberg, his programmatic work for string sextet. Written before he adopted an atonal technique, the music is perhaps surprising in its intense romanticism and sensitivity. NB numbers are tightly restricted to allow discussion amongst all attending.
