Tuesday 14 June, 7.30pm – 9pm on Zoom
A 90 minute Explore Class introducing the first symphony of woefully neglected composer Florence Price. The first African- American woman to have a symphony performed by a major US orchestra, she is still only now becoming known to a wider audience. Her appealing music is well worth getting to know with its inflections of African folk music and dance rhythms. NB numbers are tightly restricted to allow discussion amongst all attending.
