In more than 10 years of teaching classical singing, Charlotte Newstead has yet to meet the person who “can’t sing”. Everyone has a voice and Charlotte can help you find and enjoy yours. Most common problems of breath-control, intonation, tone-quality, hoarseness and limited range can be remedied with good technique. As an active member of the national AOTOS (Association of Teachers of Singing) and with LGSMD, MA and BA qualifications in singing and music, Charlotte can guide you through the process of improving your technique to overcome these and other vocal problems.
Working mainly in the classical genre but also musical theatre, she focuses on developing a safe technique, with smooth voice production, free vowels and correct pronunciation of foreign languages. Her pupils range from beginners to professionals and span all ages from young children to octagenarians – it’s never too late to start!
Regular or occasional lessons are available for help with exams, auditions, shows and concerts but also just for fun!
